“When my sister was killed, all I could think of when I saw the boy who did

it was: What happened to you in your 18 years that could make you do this?” Gloria recalls. “I knew I had to forgive him. Forgiveness is not about saying what happened is okay. It’s about finding peace. This boy went to jail and later apologized, but I already felt at peace— and that’s what forgiving gives you!”
