“IT MADE MY DAY TO HELP HER!”

I was walking in New York City when a woman asked me how to get to Madison Avenue. I pointed her in that direction, but then noticed that she still appeared to be lost. So I asked her where she was going. She told me that she was looking for a new store that sold only frozen foods. She couldn’t remember the name and was trying to find it on her phone, but kept losing service. I pulled out my cellphone and googled “Upper East Side frozen food store.” A few stores popped up, and we found the one that she was looking for. She thanked me, explaining she had a rare day off from her job as a teacher and really wanted to visit this store. It made my day to help her! — Sharon L. Willard, New York City
