“SHE LIFTED MY HEART!”

I went to the post office to send back a pair of shoes and was stunned to learn the shipping would cost more than the

shoes! I thanked the postal clerk and said I wouldn’t be returning the item. Then a very sweet lady came up to me and said, “I’ll pay for your item.” I told her, “No, that’s okay. But I truly appreciate your very kind gesture.” Then she opened her purse and gave me the money. She wouldn’t take no for an answer! I’d heard about kindnesses that happened to others, but I never thought it would happen to me. I thanked her from the bottom of my heart and hugged her. I’ve paid the kindness forward many times since then!
