My guardian angel

-

When Woman’s World reader Karen Drews’ windshield wipers stopped working, leaving her driving blind in a snowstorm, an angel came to her rescue! She writes:

For as long as I can remember, my family and I have believed in angels and the wonders that they are able to do. But never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would meet an angel of my own.

At the time of this story, I was in sales and would visit customers in person— some as far as two hours away. On this particularly cold and blustery winter day, while driving to a client, it suddenly began to snow heavily. I put on my windshield wipers. However, just as I did, the driver’s side wiper came loose and wouldn’t clear the glass. I couldn’t see anything.

Frightened, I quickly pulled off the highway onto the right side of an exit ramp, hoping I wouldn’t crash into anyone. Luckily, I made it safely to the side of the road, but then realized that I couldn’t get out of my car to clear the snow because there were large tractor trailer trucks whizzing by. I reached my arm out the window but I couldn’t reach the windshield to clear it.

As I sat back, I was on the verge of panic. Remembering my belief in angels and all the stories that I read in Woman’s World, I quickly cried out, “Oh, please guardian angel help me!” Almost immediately, a red pickup truck pulled up in front of me. Out came a short, husky man with a scruffy

beard, wearing a baseball cap and a red flannel shirt.

Without saying a word, he walked over to my car, took off the wiper from the passenger side, switched it with the wiper on my side, and when I turned on my wiper, it swiped the snow away.

Relieved to be able to see again, I swiftly opened my window and said, “Thank you so much. You are my angel.” He turned, smiled and without a word, got back in his truck.

With a sigh of relief, I put my car into drive, and when I looked up, the red truck was gone. It wasn’t driving away, it was just gone. At that moment, I knew the man was truly an angel sent by God, for I never told him what was wrong, yet he fixed the problem instantly.

Only an angel could have known what the problem was.

So today, when I think back about that day, I know in my heart that I had an angelic visit. That only confirms to me that angels really do exist.
