3 tips for the best BBQ
1 Make a mystery sampler
Create a brewery tasting experience at home by serving a sampler of beers. For a special twist, make each beer a mystery! To start, choose three different varieties of beer (pilsners, pale lagers and amber and brown ales pair nicely with grilled fare). Then, pour each beer into a juice glass and line up on a small tray going from lightest to darkest. Label each with a small numbered chalk sign from the craft store (or jot numbers on black cardstock squares with a white paint pen for a chalkboard feel). Ask Dad to pick his favorite of the flight, then pour him a full glass of his choice.
2 Create a toppings bar
Everyone can dress burgers to their liking with a toppings bar! Simply set out bowls filled with add- ons like onion and tomato slices, pickles, condiments and a few specialty toppers like caramelized or grilled onions, bacon, BBQ sauce and teriyaki sauce. Tip: Keep condiments cold by nestling bottles into a bucket filled with ice.
3 Give a thoughtful gift
Give Dad a keepsake he’ll love! Before Father’s Day, ask friends or family members to email you their favorite photos of Dad along with a sweet message for him, then print the photos and messages and add them to a photo album. He’ll remember how truly loved he is every time he sees it!
