Spruce up an old straw tote bag!
It’s easy with plastic bags and this how-to from Createwithclaudia.com
❑ Scissors
❑ Colored plastic shopping bags (thin ones work best)
❑ Straw bag
❑ Upholstery needle (like Repair Needles by Loops & Threads, $ 3, Michaels.com)
Cut plastic bags diagonally into 1"-wide strips.
Knot one strip at one end; pull the other end through the needle’s eye.
Thread the needle through the straw bag, starting from the inside out; continue threading in and out to create a flower.
When done, make a loop by feeding the needle through some stitches. Insert the needle into the loop and pull to form a knot; trim excess.
Repeat to create additional flowers around the bag.
