Build strength with family ties
“When I was given three years to live after I was diagnosed with hepatitis C, I realized I didn’t have any friends at the time,” Naomi recalls. “But then I read a book by Dr. Dean Ornish called Love & Survival, where he talks about the groups of people that live longer than they are supposed to—and it’s all because of family! I’m lucky because I have a loving husband and my girls live right nearby. Just having my family close is what’s most important—it keeps us alive!”
