My guardian angel
Just as she’d promised, Woman’s World reader Diane Reinhart’s mother sent a beautiful reminder of her love from Heaven! She writes:
My mother was a cloud watcher. In random puffs of clouds, she could see a ship, a whale, a horse and, occasionally, an angel.
She was always looking up because the clouds—like life— are fleeting and can change in a heartbeat. She began each day with hope for what the day would bring, and if it brought thunderheads, her response was, “Things will work out. They always do.”
She was an inspiration to me, and when asked who I wanted to be when I grew up, I always answered, “My mom.”
After many years of good health, my mom developed a rare type of cancer. On a family drive in the Colorado mountains when she knew her days were limited, she saw a tiny white cloud floating in the blue, blue sky. “When I’m gone, watch for a tiny white cloud like that one,” she said. “That will be me.” We all smiled through our sadness.
Not long after, my mother passed away as I held her hand. She gave one last squeeze before she entered eternity.
Numb with loss for my mom and my best friend, I stepped out of the hospital into a sunny Colorado morning. Immediately, something drew my attention up into the sky. All by itself, floating directly above the hospital, was a giant donut cloud, perfectly formed, miles across and bright white. It wasn’t the tiny white cloud Mom had talked about but it was something I couldn’t miss.
If it was a portal to Heaven, then I am sure she passed through safely. As I gazed at it, I felt comforted.
Now, I look up to the sky often, hoping to see in the clouds a ship, a whale, a horse, a heart or even a tiny white familiar cloud!
“As I left the hospital, something drew my attention up into the sky…”
