Woman's World

Highway helper

When Woman’s World reader Becky Lee’s car broke down on the highway, an angel in a tow truck pulled the car to safety! She writes:

-

One morning, I had just picked up my cousin for an appointment. I had come early because I knew that traffic would be heavy going into Charleston, South Carolina, on a main highway during the morning rush hour.

I drove to the red light at the end of the street, knowing I’d need the signal to get into the morning rush. When I made a right turn, there was a loud thud, and my steering wheel jerked hard to the right.

“What was that?” my cousin screamed with fear.

“The dealership is up the road. I’ll stop to have it checked,” I told her.

Anticipating a left-hand turn into the dealership, I moved to the center lane, which created chaos in the front of my car.

“Get over, Becky!” my cousin was screaming, terrified. I knew she was having post-traumatic stress from a previous car accident when she had been thrown from a car during Atlanta rush hour and lay helpless on the road.

“There’s three lanes of traffic and no place to get off the road.

I’ll be at the dealership in a few minutes!” I told her. “You’ll be okay, and I’ll get you to the doctor on time.” I was trying to reassure her.

I could see the dealership just a few hundred yards ahead, but I was worried about what was happening to my car. It was wobbling, and I was moving forward a foot or two at a time. Cars were blowing their horns.

Finally, we arrived at the light where I would be making a left-hand turn to go into the dealership. As I moved into the turn, there were more noises, sounds of metal hitting metal, and uncontrollable wobbling. By then I was blocking traffic, and horns were blowing. The tire was coming off on the right front end! I was afraid to move!

Suddenly, from a side street, a tow truck pulled out, turned around in traffic and in a flash had hooked on to my car to pull me into the dealership.

I jumped out to look at the front tire, and when I turned to thank the driver, he and his tow truck had vanished. I knew an angel had come to my rescue, just when I needed him!

“There were sounds of metal hitting metal and uncontrollable wobbling!”

ANGEL EXPERT SUNNY DAWN JOHNSTON SAYS…

“Becky’s experience is a reminder that angels are always around and know what we need. In this circumstance, Becky’s car needed to be moved, and an angel disguised as a tow truck driver saved her. Becky’s cousin, in the fear of the moment, summoned the angels to their side, and they were rescued. The question is: Was the driver real or their imagination?

“Angels manifest in many ways, often at an exact time and place to serve someone in need. I believe the angels were supporting them as soon as the car began to have trouble and saved them from an accident.”
