My guardian angel

Woman’s World reader Sondra Briggs was mourning the loss of her husband, when she saw a sign that gave her undeniable peace! She writes:

My husband, Gerald “Gerry” Katz, passed away Memorial Day weekend 2020. For the last seven years of his life, I had watched helplessly as he descended into the nightmare of dementia.

Gerry had spent his working life in a family-owned furniture business, a career forced on him by family pressure. He looked forward to retiring so he could pursue his hobbies of horticulture and long-distance bicycling. But sadly, five years after reaching that goal at the age of 70, the memory loss began. When the dreaded call came from the residential care facility where he spent his last days, I wasn’t prepared. After sitting with him until the Neptune Society removed his body, I returned to my townhouse at the beach wondering what would be next.

Twenty years earlier, five years before I met and married Gerry, I had lived in that same townhouse. It was a dark time in my life, going through a terrible divorce. I walked sorrowfully on the beach each day and prayed for guidance. One day, I had the sensation of a great white-winged presence taking my hand and walking with me. It brought me peace.

Now, fresh from the residential care facility, I sought solace

walking along that same beach path. As I went by a cluster of four palm trees, I was amazed to once again see a great white-winged being standing there. As

I came closer, he rose up, holding Gerry in his arms, and faded into the fog.

The next day, the same thing happened, and he ascended even higher. The third day, it happened again, and he ascended still higher until he and Gerry vanished, swallowed by the sky the way an airplane disappears from view.

I knew it would be the last time to see that loving presence carrying my husband, but seeing it brought overwhelming peace and relief, knowing Gerry had gone to Heaven and everything would be okay.
