As a housewarming gift for his aunt and uncle, 17-year-old Zachary Godfrey, of Rowley, Mass., built the Farmhouse Table from issue 270 (October 2020) out of cherry. Zachary started woodworking with his grandfather at the age of 3, and now has his own business.
From a single blank of black walnut, Jay McCormick, of Houston, carved this bench-rest rifle stock for a Marlin .22 Magnum. Jay embellished the stock with cocobolo accents at the forend, grip, and butt pad, and inlaid a silver Texas emblem in the forend.
Over the past five years, Doug Baillie, of Hamilton, Ont., has been building an Arts & Crafts bedroom suite, including this dresser from issue 160 (Dec/Jan 2004/2005). The other pieces inspired by that project include a platform bed with drawers; two nightstands; and two more dressers, each unique.
