Trim router (bare tool), no. DCW600B, $179 Fea­tur­ing brush­less mo­tors and light­weight, com­pact body de­signs, these four new wood­work­ing tools bring more cord­less op­tions to the shop. Lead­ing the group: DeWalt’s first bat­tery-pow­ered router, a trim router with 1∕4" col­let, vari­able-speed soft-start mo­tor, and dual LEDs to light around the bit. The D-han­dle jigsaw has a vari­able-speed trig­ger and dial, dust blower, 1" stroke, four or­bital po­si­tions, an LED, and tool-free blade changes and shoe tilt­ing. A bar­rel-grip ver­sion of this saw (due out in early spring) will share the same fea­tures ex­cept for the vari­able-speed trig­ger.
