’Canes top Mounties

WARWICK — The Mount St. Charles boys basketball team outscored Warwick Vets by seven in the second half Tuesday, but the Hurricanes dominated the opening half to secure a 73-56 Division III victory.

Senior wing Anthony Canestrari bagged four 3-pointers and scored a team-high 18 points. Eddie Reinhardt made all eight of his free throws and finished the contest with 10 points and seven assists. Alex Hale scored 13.

Mount St. Charles (2-11 Division III-North) will meet Scituate for the second time this season Thursday night in Scituate.
