Lafond scores five goals in loss

BURRILLVILLE – Despite a phenomenal individual performance by sophomore Elliot Lafond, who closed with five goals and three assists, the Burrillville High lacrosse team sustained a 16-13 Division II loss to South Kingstown at Thomas E. Gledhill Memorial Field on Wednesday.

Junior Avery Tupper managed a hat trick and two feeds, kid brother/ frosh Aidan Tupper two tallies and three assists, senior tri-captain Matt Bianco a goal and five assists and sophomore Mathew McClure two tallies.

Junior keeper Josh Newell earned 21 saves in the defeat.

Senior Liam Brennan registered five goals and four assists, while Andrew Sprague five tallies and three feeds for the Rebels.
