Markey backs off N.Y. grand jury remarks

BOSTON (AP) — U.S. Sen. Edward Markey is backing off comments he made suggesting a New York grand jury was investigating President Trump's campaign ties to Russia.

During an interview Wednesday on CNN, the Massachusetts Democrat said there are "strong allegations the Russians had relationships with people inside of the Trump campaign" and that "a grand jury has been impaneled up in New York."
