Mount blanks Skippers

JAMESTOWN — Mount St. Charles No. 1 singles player Josh Carlson, No. 3 Jacob Lawrence and No. 4 Paul Resende combined to lose just five games, as the Mounties defeated winless North Kingstown, 7-0, in a Division I contest at Jamestown School Thursday.

Mount St. Charles (7-5 Division I) was nearly as dominant in the doubles matches, as the No. 2 combination of Anuj Swaminathan and Shaan Arora posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory.

The Mounties will look for their third straight victory Monday afternoon against a Wheeler team which defeated the Mounties, 4-3, on the opening day of the season in Massachusetts.
