Downtown Woonsocket Collaborative’s fund-raiser a killer
WOONSOCKET — The Downtown Woonsocket Collaborative’s next fundraiser is a real killer.
Almost, anyway. “Murder at the Museum,” at the Mill Race Event Space and the Museum of Work & Culture, is sort of like a marriage of dinner theater and the board game, “Clue.”
It all starts Saturday at 6 p.m. But hungry sleuths will have to do some quick investigating before then if you want to figure out who the killer is, says Garrett Mancieri, chairman of the DWC, a non- profit downtown boosters organization.
Clues that will reveal the identity of the culprit are available at various Main Street locales, including the Museum of Work & Culture, Woonsocket Historical Society, Ye Olde English Fish & Chips, New York Lunch, Timeless Antiques, Main Street Cafe, Renaissance Tattoo Studio, Trendz, The Art Den, and Ciro’s Tavern.
The event begins with a dinner served by Savini’s Pomodoro at the Mill Race Event Space, 40 South Main St., at 6 p.m., followed by the “investigation” at the Museum of Work & Culture, 42 South Main St., at 8 p.m., Tickets will be $40 per person for both events or, for those who want to skip the meal, only $20 per person for entry at the museum. Guests will be able to speak to the “suspects” and “witnesses” and asked to identify the murderer suspect.
One savvy investigator will win a $150 gift card to Savini’s Pomodoro. Guests are encouraged to dress to impress in their favorite 40s and 50s attire.
