A mostly dry stretch of colder-than-av­er­age weather is in store for South­ern New Eng­land. The cold­est core of the Arc­tic air will be through early Sun­day. Af­ter that, next week, tem­per­a­tures will mod­er­ate a bit but will still be be­low av­er­age. Storm sys­tems will be sur­pressed off to the south of east of us. How­ever, we could ex­pe­ri­ence some light snow and/or flur­ries mid-week next week as the se­cond of those two storms in­ter­acts with an­other re­in­forc­ing but dry cold front cut­ting across our area. TO­DAY: Sunny, colder than it has been. HIGH: 28-33. SUN­DAY: Sunny, not quite as cold, some high clouds in the af­ter­noon. HIGH: mid-up­per 30’s. MON­DAY: Sunny, not quite as cold. HIGH: near 40. TUES­DAY: Sunny, tad colder. HIGH: mid-up­per 30’s. WED­NES­DAY: Mostly cloudy, some snow show­ers and/or flur­ries pos­si­ble, breezy. HIGH: mid 30’s. THURS­DAY: Sunny, colder than av­er­age.
