LINCOLN – Attention, third through fifth graders: Have you read any of the books nominated for the 2019 Rhode Island Children’s Book Award (RICBA)?

There’s still time to join the Lincoln Public Library book club, where kids read, share, and participate in RICBA book-related activities. Each year, 20 titles are nominated for this prestigious award.

Kids in grades 3 through 5 who read at least three of the nominated books get to vote for their favorite in March.

The Lincoln Public Library book club members explore these great titles and choose one of them to read each month.

Kids then share by posting book reviews to a blog and participating in other fun activities. Technological devices and instruction will be provided for all projects.

New members are welcome. However, registration is required. To sign up, call the Children’s Room at (401) 333-2422, ext. 15.
