Region/Obituaries Monday, February 11, 2019 THE CALL A5 Lorraine Lavimodiere WOONSOCKET – Lorraine ( Tr u d e a u ) Lav i - modiere, 75, of Park Ave., died S a t u r d a y, February 9, 2019, in the Holiday Retirement Home. She was the wife of Richard E. Lavimodiere. Richard and Lorraine were married for 57 years. Born in Blackstone, she was the daughter of the late Ulric and Loretta (Lataille) Trudeau. Lorraine worked as a lunch worker for Sodexo for several years prior to retiring. She was an avid bingo player and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. Besides her husband Richard, she is survived by her three children, Kevin Lavimodiere and his wife Dawn of North Atttleboro; Cheryl Piedmonte and her husband Matthew of Blackstone; and Gail Vest and her husband Robert of Blackstone; two brothers, Roland Trudeau of Woonsocket and Maurice Trudeau of North Smithfield; one sister, Noella Remillard of Connecticut; and three grandchildren, Marissa Piedmonte, Dylan Lavimodiere and Hannah Piedmonte. She was also the sister to the late Theodore and Raymond Trudeau, and Cecile Jolicoeur. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at 10 a.m. in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Road, Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. sdipardomcfh.com BURRILLVILLE – Ronald R. Trahan, 70, of Pascoag, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the former husband of Yvette (Cartier) Trahan. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Edward and Alice (Tessier) Trahan. Ronald was a graduate of Woonsocket High School in the Class of 1967; of Rhode Island College, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in 1971; and of Mississippi State University, where he earned a master’s degree in 1984. He served in the R.I. Air National Guard for six years and subsequently taught science at Calcutt Middle School in Central Falls until his retirement in 2011. He was a passionate gardener and cook and loved nothing more than puttering around in his gardens and spending long hours in the woods identifying edible mushrooms. He was devoted to his two children: Eric Trahan of Uxbridge and Kelly E. Cournoyer of Harrisville; and a sister, Janet Debroisse and her husband Robert, of Port St. Lucie, Fla. He was also the twin brother of the late Richard E. Trahan. In addition, he leaves behind four beloved grandchildren: Tyler and Branden Trahan and Morgan and Luc Cournoyer, and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to his graveside service, which will be held Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 10 a.m. in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Road, Bellingham.
