Thelma V. Stokloza

WOONSOCKET — Thelma V. (Brunetti) Stokloza, 79 of Dawn Blvd., died Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at home. She was the wife of the late Chester R. Stokloza.

Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Leno a n d Sylvia (Mencarini) Brunetti, Thelma was owner and operator, along with her husband, of Specialty Ski and Bike in Bellingham, prior to retiring.

She was a member of St. Theresa Seniors in Blackstone, Mass.

Thelma was very devoted to her faith and church. She was an avid reader, loved to play cribbage and go to their home in Gray, Maine to relax by the lake. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two children, Cheryl Smith and her husband, Russell, of Falmouth, Maine; and Peter Stokloza, of Plymouth, N.H.; two brothers, Leno E. Brunetti, of Woonsocket, and Roney Brunetti, of Smithfield; one sister, Jo-Ann Hunt, of Burrillville; and six grandchildren, Hannah, Lilly, Milo, Zealand, Remington and Kamden.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019 at 9 a.m. from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St. Blackstone. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery Farm St. Blackstone. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, from 5 to 7 p.m.
