Kennedy Manor Social Club

Our last meeting was held Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019.

The meeting was opened with a prayer from our Vice President Denise Leveillee, followed by a salute to the flag.

The secretary’s report was read by Trudy Paterson and accepted by Stella Lacasse, seconded by Marge Desrosiers.

Treasurer’s report was read by Linda Smith and accepted by Fran Barrette, seconded by Pauline Ledoux. Sunshine lady report was read by Jeanne Bastein. January get-well cards were sent to Gary King, Jackie Maurice, Ronald Gamache,Leonard Cotnoir, Marcel Brunelle and Lorette Frappier.

Sympathy cards for January were sent to Lucille Mercier, for her son’s passing, and to Gary King’s family, for his passing.

Thank-you cards were sent to Patricia Larose, Alice Groleau and Linda Smith for the good deeds they do for their neighbors. Thank-you cards were received from Linda Smith and the family of Lucille Mercier.

Board of Tenant Affairs was read by David Wolfe. The meeting was held on Jan. 17 at St. Germain’s Manor. The next meeting will be held on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m., at Kennedy Manor, and the speaker will be Linda Plays.

Tuesday, Feb. 26 is a lunch-and-learn lunch at 10:30 in the morning, sponsored by the Senior Center. You need to sign up for this event and show up otherwise the lunch is not free and will cost you $3.

LENTEN meals are March 15, baked fish for $7.50, and April 5, clam cakes and chowder for $5. You need to sign up for these meals and pay Linda Smith at Bingo.

May 5th is a brunch for $10 and $12 for guests, followed by bingo.

July 14 is our picnic for $10 and $12 for guests. Birthdays for February are Ken Demarest, Bernie Rochefort and Virginia Healy.

Split-the-pot winners were Jeanne Levreault (twice), Lorette Frappier, Debbie Ducharme, Ken Demarest, Stella Lacasse (twice) and Joe Pincince.
