Area restaurant­s participat­ing in Kiwanis event

SEEKONK — The Kiwanis Club of Greater Seekonk is sponsoring its 23rd Taste of the Towns on Tuesday, March 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Grand Rose Ballroom in the Clarion Inn, 940 Fall River Ave. (Route 114A).

Restaurant­s from Seekonk, Pawtucket and other local communitie­s offering samples of their menus include: Applebee’s, Bone Yard BBQ, Dublin Rose Sports Bar, Grand Rose Ballroom, Grist Mill Tavern, Hillside Country Club, KC’s Classic Burger Bar, Lemon & Oil Deli, Longhorn Steakhouse, Sullivan’s Publick House, The Simple Greek, Toti’s Grill & Pizzeria, Young’s Caterers, iAlive Restaurant, and Starbucks..

There will also be raffles of gifts from various vendors and local businesses, a 50/50 cash raffle, and an auction including attorney Edward Grourke’s Double Wills Package, Hillside Country Club’s 18- Hole Foursome with Cart, Rockland Bank iPad, attorney Stephen Navega’s Double Wills Package. etc.

Sponsors of the event include state Rep. Steve Howitt, Horizon Beverage, Atlantic Paper, J & J Materials, Dr. Lisa Daft DMD, Ed Kazarian, Tremblay’s Bus Co., Certified Medium Lynn Kent, Beverly Haley, Dr. Brown, Dr. Depetrillo DMD, Costa Developers, Webster Bank, B & R Fournier Const., Blu Sky Realty, AT’S Equipment, Dr. Frank Casarella DMD, Seekonk Supply, and Dr. Michael Gross DC, supporting our efforts to help families, children and the community. Proceeds are used for grants for preschoole­rs, scholarshi­ps to graduating seniors and sponsoring the Key Club at the high school and the Builders’ Club at the middle school to teach young people the value of community service and to develop leadership skills.
