Annual Cracker-Barrel Fair on tap this weekend
WRENTHAM — The 39th annual Cracker-Barrel Fair is up for another exciting and fun-filled weekend of family entertainment at the Wrentham Developmental Center Fair Grounds, Emerald Street.
This year’s fair will be held on Friday, Sept. 13, from 5 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 14, from noon to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 15, from noon to 7 p.m.
Sunday will be bracelet day, which means all rides are just $25 from noon to 6 p.m. Over 30 vendors will be present. Enjoy live musical entertainment
each day. On Friday night there will be an Elvis tribute show; on Saturday, the Southeastern, Mass. Community Concert Band, The Oldies with the Reminisants, and the Berkshire Valley Boys Band will all be performing; and on Sunday, there will be a dance performance by Showcase Dance Productions, a popular, local dance company that will entertain children of all ages, followed by Three of a Kind, and the Missy Maxfield Experience.
Throughout the fair there will be hayrides, pulled by an antique tractor and opportunities to enjoy a variety of food booths and food trucks.
The 4-H Club will also be having various agricultural exhibits, including crafts by local artisans. There will also be pony rides by Sandy Hollow Stables, animal and reptile shows.
The ever-challenging and fun 5K Road Race will also be held on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. Don’t forget to attend one of the largest flea market sales in the area on Saturday morning, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday evening will close with fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
There will be a $3 parking donation.
