Working Mother - - Home Front - Montego Bay, Jamaica jewel

The deal: Starting at $205 per person (October rates start at $175), you get a large suite and options to dine at 12 restaurants serving traditional Jamaican fare and more. The resort, which opened this past fall, has two pools, a private cove and a high-end, two-floor villa-inspired spa, which houses the Caribbean’s first and only Himalayan Salt Therapy Lounge.

Why we love it: The accommodations are gorgeous, and staff arrange your transportation to and from the airport, just 15 minutes away. Once you check in, you are assigned a butler for your suite, whose sole purpose is to make your stay—and other guests’ nearby—as pleasant as possible. They’ll do things, gratis, such as bring delicious Jamaican patties to you on the beach, take your kids out for a meal so you can have some alone time, give makeup-application lessons or throw you an in-suite mini party for special occasions. What’s more, inside every room is a fully equipped kitchen with stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, a private balcony, high-speed Wi-Fi and a large flat-screen HDTV. There’s also a kids’ club and teen lounge, and a selection of nonmotorized watersports for fun-filled afternoons.
