In late 2019, parental leave increased from four weeks for nonprimary and 16 weeks for primary caregivers to 20 weeks for all employees, regardless of gender or caregiver status. It can be taken flexibly throughout the first year of parenthood and is available to all new parents, whether through birth, surrogacy or adoption. In addition, the financial-services firm increased existing stipends for adoption or egg retrieval up to $10,000 per event and $20,000 for an egg donation or surrogacy, to a lifetime maximum of $40,000 per employee.
