●An openly gay congressma­n who frequently clashed with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro said Thursday he was leaving his job and the country because of mounting death threats.巴西國會議員威利斯周­四(上月24日)宣布,在面臨死亡威脅加劇後,他離開了工作崗位和這­個國家;威利斯是巴西公開出櫃­的國會議員,經常批評總統波索納洛。

●In an interview published by daily Folha de S. Paulo, Congressma­n Jean Wyllys said he was currently outside of Brazil and had no plans to return.「聖保羅頁報」刊載的訪談內容顯示,威利斯議員已離開巴西,且沒有計畫返國。 ●Instead, he said he would work in academia but did not say where.他表示,將投入學術工作,但未透露地點。

●Wyllys, who was re-elected in October and set to begin a third term in February, said death threats against him had increased significan­tly since Rio de Janeiro councilwom­an Marielle Franco was shot and killed along with her driver in March.
