The List — The Top Five Luxury Brands By Category
According to the latest survey on global luxury goods from RBC Europe Ltd. in April, analyst Rogerio Fujimori said that category leaders will extend their lead, a conclusion that bodes well for LVMH, Richemont, Swatch Group, Kering, Hermès and Tiffany. The study surveyed 643 affluent Chinese consumers between ages 18 and 65, with 62 percent between ages 18 and 34. All consumers have bought at least one luxury product in the last 12 months.
The report indicates that the bigger the luxury brands are, the better their chances for grabbing mindshare among consumers in the Chinese market. Below are some key data points for the luxury fashion, accessories and beauty sectors.
Fujimori co-wrote the report with Piral Dadhania. The two authors concluded that the Chinese consumer group is the single most important customer for European luxury brands in their coverage area.
