Delpozo Expands With 3 Stores in South Korea

- BY LISA LOCKWOOD

The units will follow the same design concept as the flagships in Madrid, London and Dubai.

Delpozo, the Spanish ready-to-wear brand founded in 1974, has joined forces with KLH International to open three shop-in-shops in Seoul and Busan in South Korea this fall.

The first store, at 678 square feet, is set to open on Friday at Lotte World Tower.

The second will open Sept. 19 in Lotte

Busan and will be slightly smaller at 613 square feet, and the third will open Oct. 5 in Hyundai Mainwill and will be the largest one at more than 1,076 square feet.

“I’m very excited with this new partnership. It means further expansion in the Asian market and who better to partner with KLH,” said Pedro Trolez, president and owner of Grupo Perfumes y Diseño, which owns the Delpozo brand. He said that after opening these three locations, they are planning three more stores in the upcoming two years.

Thomas Hahn, chief executive officer of KLH International, said, “It is our pleasure to introduce the brand Delpozo that presents a unique and sensual design in Korea. Nowadays, the practical and commercial parts hold a dominant position at the fashion market. Delpozo, on the other hand, suggests an aesthetic where you can feel the delicacy of the designer as it treats each piece as artwork. Delpozo will give a new impulse into the bored women’s clothing market.”

The new Delpozo stores will follow the same design concept as the flagships. A boutique opened in Madrid in March 2013, followed by London in May 2016 and the Dubai Mall last April. Delpozo also sells its collection in more than 80 points of sale.
