UBM Fashion, an international producer of fashion trade shows, will soon unite five distinctive women's shows into its “NY Women's” event, taking place at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York on Jan. 6 to 8.
The event fuses Project Womens, Accessorie Circuit, Fame, Moda, Accessories the Show and its colocated Children's Club into a wholly unique event that will showcase a wide range of products from contemporary brands to trenddriven fashion, show organizers said.
And NY Women's Children's Club — an international exhibition that “features every category of children's clothing from newborn to age 12, layette items, fashion accessories, footwear, toys and gifts,” according to the firm — exhibits brands that “reflect an eclectic base of established collections and new designers bursting onto the scene.” The show is “an excellent opportunity to be seen by the medium to better children's specialty retailers and boutiques,” the company said.
Mike Alic, managing director at UBM Fashion, told WWD, “UBM Fashion events present the most effective and efficient environment for retailers to discover new brands, and for brands to discover new retailers. We also provide unique forums where the industry comes together to do business, to renew existing relationships, to network, to learn, and of course to gossip and to have a bit of fun.”
Alic added, “Even with all the exciting changes in retail and the emergence of online channels, wholesale remains the dominant way fashion products get to market, and there are great, independent multibrand fashion retailers thriving all over the country. Our events are incredibly cost-effective for doing wholesale business.”
