PITTI IMMAGINE
“Clear and stimulating” is the vision for Pitti Immagine, an international fashion industry event firm based in Italy.
Pitti Immagine is devoted to “top down” modernity, the company said. And as such, the prevailing theme for the firm's trade show lineup this season is packaged as the “Pitti Box,” which asks the question, “Are you ‘in' or ‘out' of the box?” Various installations and interactive layouts will be presented across its events from the likes of Moon Boot, Woolrich, Diadora and Ecoalf, among others, that will be on display to invite a closer look.
And Uomo, its forthcoming show in Florence, is promised to uphold “new modes of presentation,” including special events, installations and shows covering the men's fashion and contemporary lifestyles spectrum. The event will also underscore successes in the digital space, including Concept Korea's “The Beyond the Closet Fashion Show” and “Art-Meets Fashion,” an installation that experiments with unique materials and draws inspiration from New York street art culture. Uomo will take place from Jan. 8 to 11.
Designers presenting at Uomo include Y/
Project, led by creative director Glenn Martens, a featured men's wear guest designer, alongside the debut of namesake collection AldoMariaCamillo by Aldo Maria Camillo, a men's wear designer that has worked with the likes of Ermenegildo Zegna and Berluti.
And further into the winter season, Pitti Immagine will showcase children's wear at Bimbo on Jan. 17 to 19; knitting yarns at Filati on Jan. 23 to 25, and Super — an event that spotlights emerging talent in product and accessories innovations — which is held in Milan from Feb. 22 to 25.
