Agenda Show has changed hands.

The streetwear and lifestyle fashion trade show has been acquired by AZTQ Corp. from Reed Exhibitions for an undisclosed amount. Agenda will run as a stand-alone show under the leadership of Tony Shellman and Laurent Huttinot, who will serve as Agenda show director and Agenda brand partnership manager, respectively.

Founded in 2003 by Aaron Levant, Agenda held its first show in Long Beach and later expanded to New York, Las Vegas and Miami. Agenda was acquired by Reed Exhibitions in 2013, and later the trade show reduced its calendar to one show a year in Las Vegas. The first Agenda Show under AZTQ will be held Feb. 4 to 6.

“We are excited about the acquisition of Agenda by AZTQ and look forward to growing and expanding this important and culturally relevant show,” Shellman said. “It has been a fantastic journey for myself and the team and we look forward to continuing to partner with innovative and leading fashion brands.”

Founded in 2019, the Torontobased AZTQ Corp. is an exhibition and trade show organizer that specializes in live event design and production. According to Shellman, Agenda is the only proprietary show under AZTQ and the company has a portfolio of other business-to-business events and shows that are not proprietary under AZTQ.

“We value the partnerships we have developed with fashion brands that make Agenda the unique and vibrant community that it is today. We plan to continue to innovate and be true to who we are as disruptors and innovators,” Huttinot said.

“We believe in Agenda, as a show, and as a community. We are certainly open to further expansion and growth,” Shellman said.

He added, “From a show format and brand direction perspective, we have renewed our focus on the core streetwear market and the simplicity of the business as we knew it. Agenda’s 20/20 vision of the landscape is that of a community of exclusive brands and buyers where they can do business, network and most importantly have fun.”

Agenda had undergone several changes in its 16-year history, including launching shows in New York City and Miami. The trade show no longer holds events in those cities.

In addition, it changed the format of its Long Beach show to a consumer festival. The first festival was held in 2017 and has featured artists such as Tyler, the Creator, Billie Eilish, Ludacris, Cam’ron, Lil Yachty, Lil Dicky, Brockhampton and Denzel Curry. The Agenda Festival is now on hold.
