Hessel Cohen is looking to further evolve LoveShackFancy by homing in on her signature design codes and bringing them to new categories.

The designer's spring collection offered a new direction, introducing the brand's first denim pieces, more elevated beading and debuting red carpet gowns, all of which embody LoveShackFancy's ethereal and feminine aesthetic.

“We're really just focusing on every stage of girls' and women's lives and taking them through the evolution now that we're calling ‘LoveShackFancy 2.0,'” Hessel Cohen said. “We're taking our core customers and bringing them even further.”

LoveShackFancy's spring collection focused on a Victorian and Edwardian aesthetic similar to past lineups, but offered a fresh take on the inspiration with the use of elevated silks, jacquards and embroidery. These pieces showed Hessel Cohen's attention to detail, with denim jeans sporting bow-like stitching on the pockets and buttons updated with logo detailing.

The collection's floral appliqué pieces were some of the standouts, showing the designer's ability to translate the ethereal vibe of the brand for the red carpet. Another of Hessel Cohen's red carpet dresses was a tangerine-hued, feathered slipdress, which gave a nod to the '30s.

Hessel Cohen stated surprisingly this season blouses, pants and blazers have become bestsellers, so the spring collection offered more in those categories. She highlighted a key look as a relaxed Victorian-inspired white blouse paired with a linen blazer and lace-detailed pants.

Other key looks included a white maxidress with intricate orange and purple floral appliqué detail, a minidress accented with an embellished bow and new takes on the brand's signature halter dress, showing how the designer is bringing her established codes into the future.

“LoveShackFancy is really now evolving,” she said. “It's amazing to see that our customer — like we've only had miniskirts and minidresses as our best seller forever — so now that we've created beautiful pieces, it's really proving to work.”
