PARIS — Pierre-Louis Mascia is ready to dress your home in his rich prints.

After 15 years at the helm of his own label, the French menswear designer is launching an interiors and homewares collection.

Mascia will celebrate the launch with an event Saturday at Paris' chic Maxim's restaurant, taking advantage of both

Men's Fashion Week and the design fair Maison & Objet, which are being held simultaneously in Paris.

Mascia was already working on blankets and cushions that were incorporated into his ready-to-wear collections before deciding to jump in fully with an expanded line.

It's been quietly brewing for a while, with Mascia taking time to perfect the items, as well as finding the right production partners.

“It's been two years now that we've really been working on prints to develop a whole universe around the brand, around the home,” he said, of the collection making its debut at Maison & Objet.

The collection features plenty of intricate florals on textiles and touches such as butterflies on the plates.

“The inspiration for the prints comes from nature, which shapes our vision and our way of looking at the world. First of all, it's the geography where we live in — I grew up surrounded by nature, and the nature had prints. It was made up of color and rhythm, and as a result, that's what shaped my imagination and the colorations and so on,” he said.

All products are made in Italy. Mascia is working with longstanding partner Achille Pinto, who has been on board since his first collection in 2008. They handle textiles and printing in Como, while ceramics and earthenware for the table collection is produced by Nuevo Forme in Tuscany.

The interiors collection includes silk wallpaper and room dividing screens, as well as blankets and cushions. Homewares will include terracotta tableware and coordinating tablecloths, stationery, notebooks and silk-covered drawing boards.

Luxe loungewear will also play a part in the interiors experience, with pajamas, bathrobes and slippers included.

The collection will be available from mid-April in Mascia's boutiques and online, as well as select retailers.

Mascia has long been known for his prints, and has a history of collaborating on special items. He launched a capsule collection with Paris' fashion museum Palais Galliera, including silk pajamas,

velvet robes and twill scarves replicating 18th-century patterns in 2021.

Mascia first launched his line in 2008 with a series of scarves, with the support of Achille Pinto, before expanding into apparel and accessories. He will continue to work on his menswear line alongside the new interiors collection.

He has two boutiques in Italy and his line is carried in more than

400 retailers worldwide, including L'Eclaireur and Le Bon Marché in Paris, La Rinascente in Italy, Isetan in Tokyo, Joseph Tricot in London and Bergdorf Goodman in New York.
