Your gaming month sorted with our definitive reviews
Do you hear it? There, in the distance... a stampede of games heading this way. It’s that time of year, the annual mega migration of blockbusters and hidden gaming delights has started and the first few big hitters are running through for the start of the winter season. First up is Lara’s final outing of the rebooted trilogy with Shadow Of The Tomb Raider over on p74. She’s changed a lot since her nervous start, becoming far more confident in her abilities, but can the game itself match her changes? Read on to find out. Elsewhere we’ve pulled up our socks for this year’s latest football game instalments starting with FIFA 19 (p78). We get a new entry every year, and with loads of tweaks and new bells and whistles this looks to be an improvement on last year, though is it enough of a leap to justify shelling out for? We’ve also been taking a spin behind the wheel of the absolutely huge Forza Horizon 4 on p80. The British map is massive and features four dynamic seasons, so all of the Brits out there have even more reasons to talk about the weather. All it needs now is tea-making facilities and it’d be our favourite game ever. Finally, we check out Life Is Strange 2 (p90) to see if it’s a worthy follow-up to the amazing story of the first season. This time we’ll be following new characters on their adventures.
