It’s all about cards this month and, er, the terrors hiding in the depth below. Enjoy!
Publisher Double Fine Productions developer Glumberland due 2019 This cute creature dance-a-thon has revealed a little more of its future antics by introducing a card-based system to its adorable dance battles. Each Ooblet will have a ‘deck’ of moves that will be randomly drawn for you to play from. Of course each card will have a silly name and picture attached to it to keep with the light-hearted feel of the game.
Publisher Bandai Namco developer Spike Chunsoft due 2019 New characters have been announced for this colourful anime fighter, including Yugi from Yu-gi-oh. He’ll fight alongside his famous cards Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl and Silfer The Sky Dragon. Characters from Bleach have also been confirmed, including Ichigo, Rukia and suave bad guy Aizen. And the roster is likely to expand even further over the coming months.
Gwent: The Witcher Card Game
Publisher CD Projekt developer CD Projekt due 4 December The card game from The Witcher 3 is finally getting a full release by the end of the year, as well as a new look and a lot of tweaks courtesy of the Homecoming update. It’ll be getting a darker makeover to be more in keeping with The Witcher universe, and will also add a single-player campaign for those who aren’t keen on playing with others. Perfect for lone wolves like Geralt.
The One We Found
Publisher Loveridge Designs developer Loveridge Designs due Winter 2018 This indie survival horror is looking suitably fear-inducing thanks to some twists on classic tropes. It’s set in Whisperwood mental institution which is home to a recently uncovered network of caves. It’ll be up to you to find out what’s going on while going up against violent ex-patients as you’re pushed into increasingly horrible situations. Just an average work day then.
Tales Of Vesperia Definitive Edition
Publisher Bandai Namco developer Bandai Namco due 11 January 2019 We were hoping this classic JRPG remaster would be out this year, but it’s just slipped into 2019. Luckily it’ll be coming with a premium edition that includes a steel book, a celebratory art book, soundtrack, pin badges, collectible cards and stickers. It’s a hefty package, which makes the extra wait worth it – especially as the artwork is incredibly difficult to find outside of Japan.
This Is Poo l
Publisher VooFoo Studios developer VooFoo Studios due 2019 While billiards and pool are fun hobbies, the need for a huge room to fit a giant table in is massively prohibitive. Thankfully there’s an upcoming game to solve that problem – all the fun of poking balls into holes while only needing the space of an Xbox One and a TV. This Is Pool promises the most realistic physics for the genre, making it an incredibly faithful simulation of the sport.
