Wim van Kampen (left page bottom left) was only sort of shopping for a yacht when he saw an ad in 1988 for the Feadship Contentus (left page bottom right). He bought the 1958 build that same day and rechristened her New Wave because, he says, “It is a new wave in my life. I have never owned a boat.” Rory Brooks (right page bottom left) and his wife bought their first-ever yacht, Heavenly Daze (right page bottom right), in 2003 so their family could better explore the Mediterranean. The 1972 build was refit in 2012 at Pendennis Shipyard and is now a charter yacht. Brooks’ second Feadship, Hera (originally Pien in 1956) was a spur-of-the-moment buy at a Feadship Heritage Fleet grand assembly meeting.
