The P400 Matrix chair from Besenzoni can be customized to include integrated throttles, a joystick, LEDs and more.

Besenzoni’s p400 matrix helm seats give yacht owners and designers maximum leeway when creating custom and semibespoke helm stations. Models can be outfitted with a range of accessories, from armrest-integrated throttles and joystick helm controls to seat supports, footrests, LED lighting, and custom color schemes and stitching. ¶ “Our biggest design and build challenge was to create a common basis for three different types of chairs that could each then be further customized with options and custom-made finishes,” says Fiorella Besenzoni, Besenzoni’s director of marketing. “We conducted lots of tests. It was a bit like an interlocking game until everything was compatible and perfectly modular.” ¶ The mix-andmatch interoperability makes P400 Matrix seats an option for vessels of all sizes. ¶ “What unites those who choose a P400 Matrix is its attention to detail and the desire for customization,” Besenzoni says. ¶ Because each chair is built to order, Besenzoni pre-installs all owner-specified systems, equipment, and wire and cable runs, making installation a plug-andbolt-and-play affair at the shipyard. ¶ “Maybe it’s our Italian DNA that allows us to create something that’s beautiful and comfortable,” Besenzoni says. “Designers can coordinate the P400 Matrix with the boat’s style without compromising functionality or its specific purpose, which is to be comfortable for long hours.”
