WIND WATCHERS

B&-G's WS300 system ($499 to $699) delivers wind information via a hard-wired (WS310) or wireless (WS320) connection. B&G says both units have improved accuracy and aerodynamics compared with its legacy wind-sensing gear. The WS310 gets power via cable, while the WS320 uses solar. Club-level racers may select the WS320 for weight savings and an 80-foot range, while casual sailors may prefer the wired option.
