ONBOARD PROTOCOLS

Most charter contracts now include protocols for what will happen if a crewmember or guest falls ill with COVID -19 during the cruise. For instance, the contract may specify that the person showing symptoms must stay isolated in a stateroom or crew cabin until proper testing can be done, especially in a remote location far from shoreside medical facilities. Masks and gloves are also on board, and some yachts have added air-purifier machines or revamped their existing airhandling systems.
