Xantrex Freedom XC PRO Marine inverters come in 2,000- ($1,325) and 3,000-watt ($1,775) versions, and have solid-state switching to convert DC power to AC. The 3,000-watt model has a 150-amp battery charger, while the 2,000-watt model has a 100-amp charger. Each model has a built-in lithium-ion battery charger. ENGINE INSIGHT

Veratron’s OceanLink TFT displays provide real-time metrics from an analog or digital engine and NMEA 2000 instrument data. The OceanLink 4.3-inch display ($600) lets users create 10 data pages that can display four customizab­le bar graphs or metrics. PREVENTIVE MEDICINE

To avoid dead batteries, Weego’s N44 ($93) delivers peak current of 1,700 amps and cranking current of 440 amps, and can jump-start 7-liter gasoline engines or 3.5-liter diesel engines. The N44’s lithium-polymer batteries hold their charge for up to a year while delivering 1,000 charging cycles, which can take up to two and a half hours.
