Azimut yachts’ foray into high-performance vessels began with the 86S. Twin 2,000 hp 16V 2000 MTU diesels power the 86-footer to a 40-knot top hop. The ride is made smoother by the 86S’s deep-V hull form with a 13-degree transom deadrise. ¶ The master stateroom has side windows and a breakfast nook, and there are a guest stateroom and a forepeak VIP. The enclosed salon is made into an open-air space when the sunroof and cockpit-connecting door are opened.¶ At press time, there were eight Azimut 86Ss on the market, ranging from $1,416,845 to $3,379,087.

The Azimut Yachts 86S came with either water jets or surface-drive propellers.
