GOST’s IDP antenna is designed to work with the satellite-based GOST Specter vessel-tracking interface. An accelerometer in the antenna lets the system automatically adjust its position-reporting rate—from once every 24 hours to once every 120 seconds— whenever the vessel is traveling faster than 2 knots. The IDP antenna ($1,300) also enables two-way satellite communications with the vessel.
