AZIMUTVERVE42
The Azimut Verve 42 got plenty of attention during its world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida a few months ago. It’s a sibling to the Verve 47, which was designed for US yachtsmen and has sold at least 50 hulls to date. Even before anyone saw the Verve 42, Azimut had already sold 10 of the boats. With triple Mercury 450R outboards, the Verve 42 has a cruising speed of 33 knots and a top hop of 45 knots, according to the builder. The hull design is by Michael Peters, who has long been known for performance powerboats. Interior and exterior styling are by Francesco Struglia, adding Azimut’s Italian DNA to the package. For overnights, the boat can sleep as many as four people with one head.
