Asold-out crowd of 330 gath­ered in Au­gust for din­ner, danc­ing, silent and live auc­tions, and a yacht hop to ben­e­fit Rhode Is­land’s Boys & Girls Clubs of New­port County. The evening, hosted by New­port Ship­yard, be­gan with cock­tails aboard seven yachts rang­ing in size from the 32-foot clas­sic mo­to­ry­acht Lat­i­tude to the 175-foot schooner Columbia. Rus­sell Morin Cater­ing & Events pro­vided the din­ner and Mac Chrup­cala Or­ches­tra the en­ter­tain­ment. The event raised more than $250,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs. New­port ship­yard and

as event part­ners; cox com­mu­ni­ca­tions and the New­port Daily News as con­tribut­ing spon­sors; and Bill and Ja­ca­lyn egan, pamela and david Ford, thomas and Jeanne hagerty, and Linda and John purdy as com­modores and helms­men.

Cerri Cantieri Navali has evolved its 102-foot (31-me­ter) Fly­ingS­port line. Hull num­ber 4 has the same slen­der, mod­ern lines as her pre­de­ces­sors, but var­i­ous fea­tures have been tweaked or up­graded, such as a newly de­signed helm sta­tion with an in­stru­ment panel lined in leather. In­te­rior dé­cor in­cludes bam­boo lath­work. Al­ter­nat­ing glass and mir­rored sur­faces in the sa­lon add to the feel­ing of ex­tra vol­ume on board. cer­ri­cantieri­
