Turkish builder Sirena Yachts has begun construction on an 85-footer (25.9-meter) designed by Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering, with an interior by Cor D Rover. Frers, which also designed the Sirena 64, says the 85 will be an evolution of her smaller sister. The hull is designed to be low resistance, seakindly and fuel efficient, with an estimated cruising range of 2,500 miles at 10 knots and a maximum speed of 26 knots. The flybridge will have a retractable hardtop, and a dipping pool will be on the foredeck. The interior can be configured as a four- or five-stateroom layout, each with a full-beam master on the main deck. Sliding glass windows in the salon should make for a light, bright interior.
