We are really lucky and have our horses at home, so we don’t have to worry about going to the barn during the stay-at-home orders. We just made an arena, so we have a safe place to ride as well.

My 4-H club put on a virtual show, where we took videos of us riding and sent it in for them to judge. We got really good and detailed comments from the judge. Although the virtual show was not the same as normal shows, it was still great to be able to show off all of the hard work we’ve been doing with our horses.

Horses are really helping me during this quarantine. They are one of the little happy things in my life right now. They make me happy and keep my spirits up during this difficult time. Riding them, and even just being with them, can help relieve my stress, and just make me feel good inside. They make me feel like everything is going to be all right and that we can get through this.
