Celia A. Eubanks

Celia Eubanks, 88, previously of Yuma, passed away in Mesa, AZ on June 7, 2015.Celia preceded in death by her husband; Robert “Bob” Eubanks. She is the beloved Mother of Richard (Denise) Eubanks, Steve (Winnie) Eu- Banks, Cheryl Edwards, and Mark (Christie) Eubanks.

Egils Maris Grasis

Egils Maris Grasis age 72, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in Yuma, AZ. He was born on January 11, 1943 in Latvia.

Maris was known for his wonderful sense of humor and kindness. He enjoyed sailing, running marathons and golfing.

Maris is survived by his wife, Patricia of 50 years; daughter, Barbara A. (Bob) Frizol; son, Maris A. (Heather) Grasis; brother, Andy A. (Patsy) Grasis; sister-in-law, Joyce Grasis; sisters, Elza and Sarma Grasis; 8 grandchild­ren and 9 great-grandchild­ren.

Robert “Robbie” Hadlock

Robert “Robbie” Hadlock, 44, of Yuma, lost his battle with cancer on June 9, 2015. He was born to Reginald and Bonnie Hadlock on January 25, 1971. Robbie was a graduate of Yuma High School and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Recently Robbie earned Recognitio­n of Dedication to the City of Yuma and Outstandin­g Service to the Utilities Department; where he has worked for 12 years.

Robbie was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Hadlock, and sister, Brenda Hadlock. By his side were his dad, Gene Hadlock; wife, Tara Hadlock and children, Amanda Hadlock, Paul Morris and Reggie Hadlock. Robbie is also survived by his son, Connor Hadlock; daughter, Sadie Hadlock (King). Robbie held a special place in his heart for his in-laws, Sam and Sue Charles and for his God Parents, Betty and Jerry McAdams.

Robbie had a great love for riding his motorcycle. Experienci­ng a cross country trip just a year ago. He was proud to be considered a member of the Border Jumpers Motorcycle Club; which he has been president of the Yuma Chapter for 3 years. He leaves behind many brothers who loved and respected him.

A celebratio­n of Robbie’s life will be held at Yuma Mortuary on June 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Robbie’s hope was one day a cure for his son’s diabetes would be found; therefore, in lieu of flower, he wanted donations to be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Thomas (Tommy) Gabriel Lagunas

Thomas (Tommy) Gabriel Lagunas, 64, passed away June 9, 2015 of Boise, ID at his home. Tommy was born to Manuel and Ernestine Lagunas in Yuma, AZ on March 18, 1951.

He attended Mountain View High School in Mountain View, CA.

He worked many jobs, but had his own House Painting Business in Boise, ID at the time of his death. Tommy was an avid sports fan that enjoyed watching the St. Louis Rams, Los Angeles Lakers and Nascar.

He is survived by daughters, Diana Campas (Frank) of Yuma and Tina Lagunas of Florida; grandchild­ren, Destiny, Dezra, Brad and Dolores; brothers, Manuel Jr. (Margarita) of Phoenix and Miguel of Boise; sisters, Rosemarie Barrett (Marvin) of Boise and Olivia Parra (Hector) of Yuma; his longtime companion, Cathy Brown; many nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Ernestine Lagunas.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11 am at Johnson Mortuary. Inurnment immediatel­y following at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 S. 1st Ave, Yuma, AZ 85364

Malachi (Malachee) Silas Palone

Malachi “Mal” Silas Palone, 30, born in Phoenix, AZ July 17, 1984 passed away at YRMC on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from health complicati­ons.

Malachi graduated from Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, CA in 2002. He also attended grade school at San Pasqual in Winterhave­n, CA. Malachi worked at Park and Recreation for the Quechan Tribe. He also did security for Paradise and The Quechan casino and Resort.

Malachi is survived by his father, Lorne Levy; brother, Lawrence J. Levy; sisters, Louann, Grace, Angeline, Xyntrice Levy; aunts, Nicole Pasqual, Florina Martinez Pasqual (Hugo), Selena Palone (Mike Jackson Jr.), Blossom Gonzalez (Edward), Joann Luna (Francisco), Collette Padilla and uncles Caine Palone, Cecil Palone (Lisa); great aunts, Brenda Flame (Warren), Joanna Allen (Randy) and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Malachi was proceeded in death by his great-grandmothe­r, Joan Palone; great- grandfathe­r, Irvin Edmond Palone; grandmothe­r, Diane Pasqual; grandmothe­r, Brenda Palone; grandfathe­r, Roger Palone Sr., mother, Arlenda Palone; uncles, Roger Jr., Drake Palone, Rummie Palone and Gorman Brenner Sr.

Mal was loved by friends and family near and far, who will hold ever lasting memories of him, smiling, making you laugh, dancing, ballin’ it up and teaching to speak and sing in Quechan (Squatsan). Mal will be missed by many friends and family but most of all, his baby brother, Joey (Boof Boom).

Pallbearer­s will be Claudio Palone, Caine Palone, Cecil Palone, Juan Allen, Randy Allen Gorman Brenner Jr., Ryan Cachora, Deshane Taylor, Kyle Cachora, Terrance Jose, Tony Palone and Fran Estrada. Honorary pallbearer­s are Bambi, Michael Jack, Lawrence “Joey” Levy, Jose Palone, Max Levy, Frank Moseley, William and Wayne Reese, and Poncho Luna.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 17, 2015 at Yuma Mortuary from 2pm to 4pm. Traditiona­l tribal rites will start at 5pm at the Quechan Big House with cremation at 5am.
