Agnes Jean Pospisil

Agnes Jean Pospisil, 70, of Yuma Arizona went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Jean, she preferred her middle name, was born September 13, 1944 in Bozeman Montana. She grew up on a farm in Manhattan Montana. She married a US Marine Aviator and lived the adventure of traveling all over the United States seeing many places. She took charge of the household during deployment­s and raised two boys.

Jean loved music, she played piano and an accordion, and enjoyed singing and playing music in church. She played in churches from North Carolina to Hawaii. She taught Sunday school, Children’s Church, and Church Day Care / Preschool.

She enjoyed soaking her feet in the streams and rivers of Montana, and later in Senators Wash. She always had a deep love of nature and wildlife and enjoyed getting away and relaxing in a cool stream. After her husband died in 2006 she took great pleasure in eating out at a restaurant and paying for someone’s meal and speaking to them about her experience­s and sharing Jesus. She brought joy to so many people, even in her time of mourning.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Catherine Oman; husband, Maj. David Pospisil USMC Ret. She is survived by her brothers, Donald Oman of Idaho and David Oman of Wyoming; sons David of Yuma, Harvey of Litchfield Park; grandchild­ren, Jessica of Florida, Chris and Seth of Litchfield Park, Catherine and William of Yuma, and two great grandchild­ren Aiden and Austin of Florida.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 7pm at the Full Gospel Lighthouse, 3302W. 8th Street, Yuma, Az, Pastor David Jackson will officiate.
