Personal trainers open studio; rehab group celebrates expansion

-

Yumans who are interested in working out — or need to tighten up — now have another option at Titan-Up Fitness, which moved into a studio on Oct. 1 at Club Yuma, 3131 S. Winsor Ave.

“I love helping people improve their quality of life,” said Christine Frye, a personal trainer for about two-and-a-half years and co-owner of Titan-Up with her husband Ryan, a trainer with one year of professional experience.

Frye said her specialty is in corrective exercise and functional training, and she helps those who have phased out of physical therapy, but still need additional training.

But she added that she and Ryan do one-on-one training and boot camps with anyone who wants a trainer.

They had been training out of their home gym, but Frye said they wanted to be able to do high-intensity interval training boot camps and lacked the space. They will hold the hour-long boot camps on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Frye can be reached at (928) 366-4626. Main St., Stes. 5 & 6, had a grand opening ceremony Sept. 16 to celebrate its expansion.

The expansion “reflects the needs of the Somerton community,” said Rosemary Jose, marketing director and community liaison for Quality Rehab Network, which she said also operates in Yuma and the Foothills.

While the Foothills location is the only one that offers aquatic therapy, she said the Somerton office, first opened three years ago, has the same four physical therapist assistants that rotate throughout the community.

The Somerton expansion has made for a “nice and comfortable facility,” Jose said.
